Footprints / Wadden Sea Festival 2008 Denmark
1. May 2008 by admin.

Proposal submitted by nrg studio May 1. Information about Footprints:
Consists of two parts at two locations, Marbaek and Blaavand.
From the 16th till the 20th of august ten artists will walk and work along the coast from Marbaek southward. Each artist creates every day a work of art with materials that are present at the site, the tidewater, the beach. In addition to this, every artist can bring small material in a daypack. In five days about fifty works of art will be created from natural elements, leaving the audience with a myriad of works, eventually washed away by the tide or eroded by time and weather.
The 21st august we move north to Blaavand, to a location at the foot of the lighthouse. As a conclusion of this process the artists work for three days on one spot near Ho, creating a space that can serve as a stage for performance art at the 24th, the end of this festival. It will be a composition of materialised involvements and performances of the selected and invited artists.
The artists work solo or together in a certain period. Visitors to the site, may interfere, help or work for themselves, as long as the artists will be allowed to do their work as they wish. Every artist documents the work for use in the website, in the catalogue and exhibition.
